Not worth arguing but a line in one of the photos is funny re: Scott Oliver. Wonder what he fell back on.

 

I assume this is him, would've been 27 during that evaluation. Good season in '84.

Except Dickie keeps going in the conversation. He's just doing it without responding to me directly so he can keep up with his little game. The better analogy would be if you lifted the cap and saw the kid was trying to use his jacket to hide from you.

 

I think Cole was a baseball decision, or at least partly so. They were fed up with potential and tired of waiting for him. How do you think the Pirates got Nova? What did the Yankees get in return? Were they cheap?
