    How did they get Drabek to begin with? Money only gets you so far. If you're smart you can take advantage of the rich and stupid all day long.

    Probably get an extra RBI or two when you hit a ball through the roof. Hence why Songbird likes them so much.

    Not really what I was looking for from the sweet woman at the Jeffersonville Library, but still interesting, especially that lede in the Reds gamer.

    Dumping an overpaid aging player is now a dumb move?

    Just like trading Melancon was a dumb move.

    Are you talking about McCutchen here?

    I don't recall what the standings were like at the time, but they probably should have tried to move him last summer when he had a hot month or two. And maybe they did try but teams were skeptical that an aging player in decline had just suddenly turned it on again after a year and a half of damn near replacement-level performance.
