I don't believe we ever delved into whether he was ready as a pitcher. Even the scouts allowed that he is.

A blister is tough to beat, though. He was missing by an insane degree. His splitters were looping in above the zone like a high school pitcher's failed attempt at a curveball.

 

The results of one start, much like the results of 19 plate appearances, is too small of a sample size to make any definitive determinations. I need to see a body of work here.
