I know, which is why he couldn't go off about Ohtani's rough night, but you know he wanted to do exactly that. I'm giving him credit for being consistent when it was clear that he didn't want to be consistent.

Ty, you are a noble warrior, but the fight not fought is often a victory.

    Recap:
Passan/scouts/Bloom: Ohtani may not be major league worthy, or ready to start the season in the majors
    Me: That is spectacularly wrong
Dick: Let's not be too hasty - we are only 19 PA in here

    Reality:
In no fucking way is this guy ever, ever EVER going to spend a second in the minor leagues, unless its a rehab. If you choose to live in your own version of reality where "the jury is still out" on Ohtani, that's on you.

The word "proven" is the key to this whole house of cards. You can't just cavalierly leave it out.

Jesus Christ. They have been playing 162 games for almost 60 years and for most of that time with much worse travel accommodations. Factor in better training and fewer nights spent closing bars and it should be much easier today.

This is precisely why it's harder. They have to try now.

Because he didn't spend enough time in the minors developing a callus.

They're never giving up money. This is a non-starter.
