It’s probably (b). Have I missed something on USA Wrestling’s issues?

Also: plenty of 40-something sports writers out there who ogle gymnasts and volleyball players and swimmers and the like. There are some who keep their creep limited to the players’ moms, though.

I think they’re worried about everyone.

I do know of some incidents involving journalists. I also heard plenty of creepy comments during my days covering preps.

There were a couple of guys I knew years ago who I heard found success on the suburban mom circuit. I did not have their charm nor their looks.

I never knew that story. Wow.
I can remember running that ML Curly column regularly in a Gannett paper back in the 1990s.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State says it has reached $500 million settlement with women and girls assaulted by sports doctor Larry Nassar.

Even at a well-endowed research university (well-endowed being a spectacularly bad phrase to use on this thread), that's a shit-ton of money. Very curious to see how that hits the coffers, especially on top of the fact that surely donations are down at MSU after all this.

Liability insurance will cover some of it, I'm sure.
