I can't wait for the Jets to take Mayfield.

Turning out like Cutler may not be the worst-case scenario, but it is certainly a possibility. From what I've seen of Darnold, he doesn't have the same infuriating attitude/body language that Cutler brings to the field. One thing he does share with Cutler is that he doesn't take care of the ball well. Then again, that is often Roethlisberger's problem, too.

Honestly, if he goes past the Giants, the smart decision would be for Cleveland to get him at 4.
And therefore being the smart decision at 4 for Cleveland, they will then draft a holder.

  6. I don't think Mayfield will be Manziel II.
OU has produced some decent NFL QBs. I think Mayfield is a guy who can be a decent NFL QB (prolly a career backup). I don't think he'll be a Manziel-level washout by any stretch.

Allen reminds my of Jay Schroeder. Possibly a stronger arm (maybe), but with less skills.

They would have to live up to the legacy of Tom Tupa.

Aikman doesn’t count. Who are the other OU QBs you speak of?

Jack Mildren turned out to be a pretty good safety for the Colts back in the day.
