Checked another site. % of district pop > 64 is lower than the country as a whole. Surprisingly.

 

All this would serve to indicate one reason why Arizona teachers are going on strike this week. If there's one thing old voters hate, it's money for schools.

 

Are we sure she invited them or did she bring them. I just read that Barbara invited the owner of her favorite pizza restaurant. Who put the story out? White House? (no sarcasm intended)

It may have been just to ride along, but a free round trip from DC to Houston and back is still a gracious offer. It is quite possible Mrs. Bush left the White House a list of folks she wanted invited and Melania just acted on it. Still nice.
