The Politico piece I linked is about how people were taught not to trust the press.

 

Yeah, I was thinking of the same disconnect.

 

In the moment, I'd have a healthy amount of skepticism.

Sixty years down the road with the weight of evidence still pointing to the lone gunman theory of the case? I'd lean that way.

 

It is quite rare for 80 percent of Americans to agree on anything, let alone to have that consensus operate for generations. So their reasons must be powerful ones. Worth noting that among its believers was Lyndon Baines Johnson. He thought Castro did it.

 

I really did not mean to get the debate started on the theories, only how it contributed to mistrust in the country. If anyone has time it is a great show, even if you are not a fan of CNN.
