    Bitchy?

    This is what you said:

    What "debate" was I losing?

The one I just dropped a match on and walked away.

Nothing irritates me more than when dumb people think they've won a debate, but I am working on it.

I wish I could win a debate by asking someone a question and having them answer it. I'd be undefeated in debates.

I was asking you specific questions about middle relievers, but because you reckon yourself some poobah of advanced stats and that us lesser lights have never read the Bill James Goldmine, you started getting all condescending and not answering my questions. Thanks for blessing us with your knowledge. I ask about BAA and your response is, "What is that?" That is bitchy.

Other than wOBA, all of my stats were invented and used for a century before "holds" were introduced.

You're like John Cena in "Blocked," misusing the air quotes.

    Which stats do you use?

For what, middle relievers? Basically the same ones Dick cited, but for some reason he didn't see clear to just say that from the beginning. Holds aren't useless stats. Neither are wins. But sure they're overvalued.

I read enough Phil Mushnick a decade ago to make a real strong argument that "holds" is one of the worst stats in sports.

Does major league baseball still count "game winning RBI"?
