Barkley seemed to be the consensus best player in the draft though not unanimously.

Nobody was pretending. We've seen a lot of expert opinions and the ones I've seen were unanimous in ranking Chubb ahead of Ward.

If you don't have a clue, that's pretty much the norm. Don't project that on to the rest of us.

What do you think Ward does well, in your opinion?

Best and safest bet are not the same thing.

He's got great speed, but he is also a physical, aggressive player. The knock I've read on him most often is that he is relatively small, but I think he is big enough to be a damn good corner. Chubb was just the higher-rated player on every draft board out there.

I know the Browns' new GM has a good reputation, but it's still the Browns until we see otherwise and I think they screwed up the first overall pick. The Ward pick doesn't bother me as much because I like the player that much.

OOP to the white courtesy phone: Martavis Bryant traded to Raiders.

I never said I did. In fact, all along I was talking about public expert rankings. Those are created by people who follow this stuff far more closely than I do and some of them speak with scouts and front office personnel.

But hey, let's just shut down the whole conversation because we're not in the teams' war rooms.

Love the pick. Gotta solidify the middle of the defense. Once Nelson was gone, it was a no-brainer. Obviously getting a tad ahead of myself but watching him on tape he reminded me of Singletary.

Ugh. I hate that move. I get why they want him gone, but that offense just got weaker. They have quite a few holes to address and they just created another one. They've got two excellent starters, but nothing of note behind them. Depth was already an issue with Rogers recovering from a torn ACL.

Great teammate doesn’t equal great football player. He could pan out, but I am in agreement with most here in that Rosen is the better player.

But at least Allen won’t be bothered by the Buffalo weather.

  12. I think Browns made some great picks.
Mayfield is a solid No. 1 and Ward addressed a need. They didnt need Chubb (at least not that one) and they bagged a Qb.

I like Mayfield . Fuck the "experts."
Those guys are talking to fill web space and airtime and log clicks and views.

Bryant wanted out. He got his wish. He can go the way of Mike Wallace.
So long as AB amd Shuster are healthy.
