I don't love the Mayfield pick, but the Browns clearly thought he was the best QB of the group so I have no problem with them making the move. It's not worth the risk of waiting to 4 if you really believe he's the guy.

Oh, they definitely had to take him there. I think if they take Barkley at No. 1, the Giants would have taken Darnold and the Jets would have taken Mayfield.

  3. Of the Qbs, I was highest on Rosen, but Mayfield is no slouch in this crop.

The Chubb I like is the RB from Georgia. I think he'll be a steal.

I am far more disappointed that they didn't move up to get Edwards than I am about trading away Bryant.

Also, I'm not so sure they are taking a defensive player with that first pick. I could absolutely see them taking Guice or even Jackson.

Gotta love the Cards adopting "Rise Up Red Sea" as a slogan, then drafting Rosen.

The Bryant told us that the Steelers really wanted multiple third-rounders, but I didn't expect them to take a third-round value in the first.

The two biggest concerns I've read about him are that he misses too many tackles and sometimes takes bad angles in pursuit. That just means he fits right in with last year's safeties in Pittsburgh.

Joking aside, I do not get that pick at all. There were better safeties available. There were worthy running backs available. Maybe they tried to trade down and couldn't get it done. Regardless, Edmonds was a reach in the first round.

Who gets taken first in the second round, Mason Rudolph or Lamar Jackson?

I'd say Mason's is the clear frontrunner.

My nephew who is a year ahead at VA tech and worked in the sports journalism coverage: Terrell went that early? Everyone had him as a early third rounder at best. But from seeing him play and knowing him from classes I had with him, he's a pretty chill guy. Moves around the secondary a lot, is willing to come up into the box, occasionally overpursues and overruns plays. Athletic enough to make plays on the ball. Good pick, might have been a bit of a reach. Potential to be pro bowler with some work.

Well, OK, then. Thank you, Ravens.

Hoo boy. Congrats Cards, your new QB just insulted more than a quarter of the league.

The 1 and 4 and they came out with Mayfield and Ward. Man, that’s underwhelming
