Cole five innings pitched. Two hits allowed, one earned run, 10k.

MLB Network says this is the 14th time a pitcher has taken a no-hitter into the seventh inning this season.

That seems like a lot for one month.

Rangers couldn't complete the sweep north of the border.

My reckoning is Martin Perez, out of options with six starters in a 5-man rotation, is headed to the DL with a "mystery injury."

The only thing I ask of them this year is they don't lose 100. The only starting veteran (thanks to injuries to 3 of 4 infielders Odor, Andrus and Beltre) is RF Shin-Soo Choo.

Buccos sweep the Cards to improve to 17-11 ... on pace for 98 wins.

One of the best off-seasons in the history of Pittsburgh Pirates baseball.

Not so much. They could've and should've gotten a better haul for McCutchen and Cole. But they are playing well.
