If the, you know, actual Chinese, take no offense, and instead are responding with an "outpouring of support", then I'm not sure what business it is of the American Perpetually Outraged Community (ie. "APOC"). Or do Chinese views not matter?

The gentrification thing is driving me a little batty. I mean, that's any city's goal, right? Rehab old areas, reduce crime, have residents with stable and high-paying jobs who are committed to their communities.

Eh, agree to disagree. This was in 1994 though, sixth season. Fairly early and David was still there.
