The oversharing of vacation photos

Friend of mine did a rip off of the first day of school pic. Posted himself on his way to work holding the sign etc.

Not sure it was an original idea but executed well so it was funny.

Had 3 years of pics of the kids by the same tree at the local zoo but have missed a couple. May have to restart the tradition.

 

The flip side: A woman I went to college with posted a shot of her 13-year-old with his medal after firing a 77. I enjoyed seeing it.

 

Status Update - This American Life

 

So the woman I mentioned earlier who runs the "beach body" business from her Facebook account walked a half-marathon this weekend - though she posted video of herself sprinting the last 1/10 of a mile.

People are telling her how inspiring she is and on and on.

Here's the thing: She's also been chattering incessantly about an "injury" she sustained during the course of the race.

I'm sorry, but if you can't walk 13.1 miles without sustaining an "injury," then I'm not sure if you're the person I'm paying for my fitness advice.

(I am skeptical about the veracity of the supposed "injury," by the way. I have a suspicion that it's a glory-seeking/weird branding tactic.)

 

I guess she won't qualify for Boston, either.

 

Nope. Ultimately, we're both in the same boat as first losers.
