Not surprised by NBC picking up Brooklyn 99 - considering what Schnurr has done with A Good Place.
Designated Survivor should have been much better than it was. Probably worthy of an oral history. Written in LA, shot in Toronto, Exec Produced out of NY - three show runners in two years.

What can he do? McGarrett will just go over his head to the governor. Anyway, I read that this Magnum is an ex-Navy SEAL returning to his native Hawaii. Oh, and the series creator also runs "H50." There will be a crossover episode or even a backdoor pilot with the 5-0 gang -- book it, Danno.

Finishing “The Five” on Netflix; has been fun and liked characters. Good mystery though not fantastic ending I hoped for. I enjoy Harlan Coben books.

I like it, though this season is challenging to follow at times with all the time jumping. The twist with the Man in Black was excellent and the reveal in the final moment of tonight's episode was well done.

Tonight's episode might have been one of the best on TV. Loved the LOST theme with Jim and it was brilliantly shot. But, we knew who the MIB was at the end of season one - unless you just mean in overall storytelling of Westworld season one and two. That twist and the reveal tonight was splendid. I had an idea of what Delos was trying to do, but not quite how it was pictured. So much to talk about!
Was Bernard creating another Bernard body, but this time for Ford or possibly Arnold? Could explain why when he wakes up on the beach he is confused and says 'I killed them all' which is what Arnold was trying to do before he passed. William says the mind and host body memory starts at a certain moment/loop.
Delos is killing guests and putting their DNA in hosts? Once they become 'free' they become self aware - the human mind in the host body that is. They needed time to acclimate to become one. Then replace the guests with the host in the real world, but still controlled by Delos. This way Delos has a hand in these mega rich businesses and such.
Ford figured out how to acclimate the mind and the host body and that's the stuff Charlotte is after? Ford is dead, but he is alive in the park through a various network of hosts. That's a lot, probably a bit far fetched, but damn this episode was fucking great

Yes, I was talking about the Man in Black in terms of the overall storytelling through two seasons. Whether you saw the reveal coming or not, so much about the show clicked into place in that one moment.

  11. Finished Season 1 of Westworld. Loved the ending. The show was Ok. The ending with the MI.B. reveal was worth it.
Not sure I'll pick up Season 2. Why would I?

Started Netflix documentary (4-parter, I think) "Evil Genius." .. It's unraveling the 2003 botched bank robbery by a Erie, Pa. pizza delivery guy who had a bomb collared around his neck. The story - as I followed it in the news - was fascinating. The documentary ... AWESOME!
I am 2 episodes it, and it keeps your attention. Highly recommended.

    I have a few questions, but I'll wait until I finish ...

I think Season 2 of Westworld is better than the first season. It's as if most of the first season was buildup to the real story, the chaos that begins with Delores and Ford at the end of the season finale.
