Mine is “Outside.” Everyone has a perfect body, drinks like a fish, and lives in scenic British Columbia.

    I do love it, seriously.

HM: The New Yorker, SI, ESPN: The Mag, Esquire, GQ, (I am aging out of Esquire and GQ), Whisky Advocate, Backpacking, Tge Week.

    Worst: Runner’s World, Men’s Health.

SI, The New Yorker, used to love Rolling Stone but haven't read it as much lately.

RS let me down after ... you know.

Can’t stomach going back. I don’t trust it.

Much like Outside, Whisky Advocate is essentially a travel mag. The reviews are hilarious. “Notes of burnt brisket and buttered asparagus with kosher salt ...”

Only one I read every week is Entertainment Weekly. So I suppose that.

Subscribe to Wired, Vanity Fair, and ESPN; first two b/c of cheap subscriptions. Seem to never get around to reading them, though.

Definitely like The Atlantic. Should re-up my subscription to that. Always enjoy New York as well.

    Yep. I know.

I haven't read Outside in a while, no particular reason. I always found it very well done

Favorite (which I also think is very underrated): BloombergBusinessWeek. Nothing too fancy, but always filled with clearly written, interesting stories.

Economist has so much content that there are bound to be at least some interesting stories in each issue, but I don't always have time to read it.

I find myself reading the New Yorker and Atlantic much less than I used to. Not sure if that reflects on them or on me.

Wired is good but the design makes it difficult to read.

I sometimes flip through Fortune and SI without coming across a single story I want to read, but they're cheap enough I keep subscribing.

My daughter LOVES The Atlantic. I got her a subscription for Christmas and she keeps telling me it is the best gift ever.
So for her wedding, I'm renewing it

There is something super interesting in every issue. And we discuss plenty of their articles here.

Usually it's available on those cheap magazine sites for $5 -- almost always under $10. For that, it's worth it just to say you subscribe to it.

I think I paid $14 for a year, plus the daily newsletter (that also comes to me).

New Yorker pissed me off. I paid my $99 renewal, the day after they cashed the check I got a buy one/give one offer in the mail. So I called and said how about you give a longtime subscriber that deal because I wanted that for my daughter, too. They basically told me to fuck off, I was already paid for the next year. Then they said I could cancel my subscription, and then pay the fee again plus another $20 and they'd toss in the gift. So I basically told them to fuck off. I read it and give it to my daughter.

High Country News ... although if I don't read a day or two after it arrives, it gets set aside, ignored for months, and recycled without another glance.

    Damn these short attention spans.
