I thought that motif was presented well, but again, it didn’t connect with me on an emotional level. Not a single goosebump.

Taylor Sheridan - he played the deputy in Sons of Anarchy - has done some solid work. Hell or High Water and Sicario are among his other scripts.

The movie was like if Travis Bickle joined a gym and steered his life in a moderately better direction.

I somewhat liked it but it needed to be more. Either more of an action-drama or more an in-depth drama or even more ambiguous, where it could be all a fantasy.

"Our Kind of Traitor" with Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard, Naomie Harris and Damian Lewis. It involves Russian oligarchs, high-ranking corrupt public officals, money laundering and a shady Cyprus bank. Didn't find it believable.

I'm assuming this is the film that Sacha Baron Cohen was going to star in. I don't know Rami Malek.

I just know he plays a main character on Mr. Robot and he was in the Night at the Museum movies.

I saw it this weekend and agree on all points - my biggest problem? This ultra-secret thing wasn't even worth one full-time guard, in the room or at the door. Of course if there was a guard the romance thing wouldn't have happened. Also felt the casting was cliched with Jenkins, Spencer and Shannon all playing characters they've played before. It was an artsy-fartsy version of Splash or ET. Shouldn't have won the Oscar. Also felt the music and TV clips were way to cutesy.

Waiting on the sequel as the CAS eventually clears everyone originally implicated by Rodchenkov.
