My two favorite Big Sam things: 1) he calls his home in Spain “Casa St. James” because he bought it with the cash that Newcastle paid him after they fired him; and 2) on the tape by The Telegraph, he ordered a pint of wine. Baller.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Iniesta will have a much better time in Kobe than Wayne Rooney will in DC, even if he doesn't end up being a club icon like Xavi after moving to Al Sadd.

That was a shit FA Cup final from a neutral perspective, even worse as a United fan.

Pogba probably should have worn something besides concrete boots.

I love the FA Cup, but it's way better in the early rounds than the late ones. That final was awful.

He loves beating players to the ball by a split second instead of just getting the ball and going. Alexis simply didn't mesh with him at all.

Matic is a great player, but he just struggles a bit against the highest level players where his lack of speed is exposed.

So my son and daughter got their FanPasses and visas for the World Cup today. They have tickets for France-Denmark in Moscow (Vivent les Bleus!) and will see if they can get tix for other Moscow games. They also got an accessory -- burner phones. One of my son's friends is a reporter for the Wall St. Journal who advised, you don't want to take your own phone to Russia. You just don't.

Wonder if the Russians don't take their own phones when they visit the US.

    I wouldn't if I were them.

Pleased that Fulham are back in the Premier League.

Less pleased with this low-rent opening ceremony for the Champions League final.
