That is not how I read league personnel and based on the league's history since Goodell took office, I don't doubt for a second that he would use that clause to impose his own discipline on players.

Edit: I'm seeing conflicting interpretations, but you may be right about this one.

Duh. It was obvious to anyone with a shred of reading comprehension.

Only if fans are asked to rise by Howard Finkel for Nikolai Volkoff's version of the Soviet National Anthem.

If only the league worked harder to make the game a no collision one.

Thank you for reminding us why you are a boil on the ass of this message board.

I read something differently from how you did. I wasn't an asshole about it. I was just pointing out something that you may have missed. Unlike you, I was willing to reconsider and admit that I may have read it incorrectly. Of course, that same level of courtesy was beyond you.

This is the kind of courageous journalism I've come to expect from the NABJ's journalist of the year.

    You read it wrong.

    I read it as written.

When I thought you had missed something, I pointed it out in a respectful manner.

When you thought I had missed something, you were a complete dickbag about it.

I meant it when you said thank you. You're usually better at hiding that part of yourself from the board. I appreciate it. :)

He was right, you were wrong, therefore the discussion should focus solely on who was most well-mannered.

Oop has gone all Emily Post on us.

    Sadly, it has. Sort of.
Not really. Not legally. But this whole thing started when the NFL started accepting ad revenue from the Pentagon. The league allowed itself to become a recruiting tool for the military. They two became business partners. And here we are.
