If premature coinage occurs, please consult your doctor.

Bullshit. You have railed against any use of anonymous sources whenever you don't like the story and accepted it happily when you do. That is the real distinction and everybody sees it.

Also, your response is written like somebody who doesn't even understand the drawbacks when the source is anonymous. When you can't name the source, your audience can't judge the person's credibility. The more you know about the source, the better you can determine whether or not the person can be trusted to share real knowledge and do so honestly.

    Link?

Anyone with a modicum of reading comprehension ability knows this is exactly what I was saying.

No, it really isn't, because you don't realize it applies to the story you are defending and the one you are claiming is improper.

Asking for a link to show that you change your journalism standards depending on whether or not you like the story is comparable for somebody asking for a link to support the claim that I occasionally post about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The story about Jared comes directly from a White House source — most likely someone in the comms department — who didn’t allow their name to be used.

No one is disputing the story, and there’s no contradictory reporting.

I’d obviously prefer it come with full attribution, but what about it should make me distrust it?

It’s completely different than the CNN/Trump Jr. email story, or the McClatchy Cohen/Prague story I cited, which each had obvious flaws.

Lastly, I could point to hundreds of Steeler related posts of yours. Find one of mine, where I complain about the routine practice of a WH official not allowing their name to be used, on a story that is not in dispute, simply because I didn’t like the story.

I admittedly am often slow on the uptake but those coins were not real were they? And if they were real, they were not being sold by Trump right? Please be a gag.

Edit: I see that it is real. I don't know much about WH commemorative coin history but is this type of thing normal?
