    Yes. Exactly.

This is what I'm dispassionately saying.

    And, here's the kicker...

When liberals, who supposedly support speech, shut down appearances by guys like Ben Shapiro on college campuses, not only will a lot of folks respond by not supporting the "rights" of NFL players to protest, but they'll vote for a guy like Trump as a fuck you to all of you.

You want that to change? Then fight against the culture war. Fight for free speech on college campuses, and defend Ben Shapiro.

It's not up to me to try teach the dipshit dumbasses of America. They're as obstinate as the cocksuckers on this board. Once Trump called the players Sons of Bitches, the rednecks knew their game plan. That includes being "muddled" about the message.

Yes. One has traditionally been a place where debate and free speech was valued.

An entire movement was launched at Berkeley in the sixties.

The other is a place of private employment, where work rules can be enforced, and businesses need to worry about offending their customers.

Yes, it is a problem that some people will stick their heads in the sand rather than actually try to understand the message.

I have never written a fucking word about Ben Shapiro. I could not give less of a shit about Ben Shapiro. I have never written a word about free speech on college campuses. I could not give less of a shit about free speech on college campuses. So don't fucking quote me, and then lecture me about Ben Shapiro. On a thread about NFL players kneeling.

That right there is why you are a fucking weirdo. All these fucking talking points you have and you can't wait to shovel them in anywhere. On any thread.

For one, and we've seen it here, it's become an issue of free speech, and has people citing the First Amendment.

One is an entertainment industry. The other is providing a service.

I do have a problem with colleges restricting free speech, but to say the same rules should apply to both environments is laughable.

Yes. Why is it uncontroversial for you or @poindexter to say this, but if i point it out, folks get upset.

If people can't, don't or won't understand the message of your protest, how effective is it?

If an advertising campaign fails, you try a new message, you don't tell the people who didn't respond to the failed campaign that they are stupid.

Unless this is just about a culture war. In that case, keep doing the same thing, and see where it gets you.

To say there should be more protection for the speech of NFL players, at work, than there is for speakers on a college campus is too dumb an opinion for even you.

Are you trying to make YF's case for him? Or do you think a private football team is more obligated to permit political speech than a public university?

You're right that there's difference between the two, but that difference supports his position, not yours.

You and others have made it so I can't post that the sky is blue without somebody making it controversial.

You do know that some commercials many times over a long period of time, right? Some advertising campaigns last for years. As long as they are still putting their message out there and people are still talking about it, who are you to say they are failing?

    Yes. Exactly.

Because you don't give two shits about speech or free expression.

You signed up as a combatant in the culture war, you just haven't realized it, or admitted it yet.
