Apparently, reading two paragraphs was too much for you.

Obama tweets with a picture of himself: bad.

Trump tweets with video of himself: good!

From the speech he gave today, honoring the fallen, dummy.

LOL = YankeeFan's got nothing, but he'll never, ever concede even the smallest point no matter what ridiculous or cowardly tactic he must employ or what lie he must tell to avoid it.

I'm aware of what it was. He's putting the focus on himself, just as he did with his tweet touting his administration's supposed accomplishments.

The video is no worse or no better than the pictures Obama used. It comes with that job. It is required, and honestly, a huge ego is pretty much a job requirement. I'm just pointing out your latest big of hypocrisy. By the way, you're still running from your error on the Newsweek headline? And the one you made on the kneeling thread?

The real issue is the other tweet by Trump, that his message was about himself rather than the fallen soldiers he was supposed to be honoring.

Sorry, you don't get a do-over on expressing the proper sentiment regarding a solemn national holiday. No one will forget five hours earlier, when Trump became perhaps the first politician in modern history to put the "me" in Memorial Day.

It's not as if Memorial Day snuck up on him and he had to think of the right phrasing off the cuff. It's been on the calendar like all year.

Instead he went with a version of "I'm doing a great job, right? If those dead soldiers could talk, they'd say, 'that Trump sure is a great president!'"

Reading someone else's words for a TV camera, obviously.

Here is how Capt. Bone Spurs would write it: "I like soldiers who don't get killed dead."

One of Trump's biggest weaknesses is his total inability to perform the rote head of state duties of a President without fucking them up because they are not about him, so he inserts himself inappropriately. And I mean a political weakness, not a personal one. Screw up the easy stuff, people are bound to be skeptical about your approach to the hard stuff.

Agreed. But we all know Trump would never go down that path.

No, I'd rather we weren't sending babies to detention by the fucking busload. Without a parent to care for them, at that.
