When it’s in the mid-90s on Memorial Day with 101 predicted for Wednesday, it narrows a man’s focus down to the basics - the AC and the refrigerator.

But I did think this was an interesting story.

 

True story. It's 1988 and Alice, myself and our son Josh (Alice pregnant with Hope) vacation at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. We drive south to Dewey Beach to a crab shack I know for dinner and we pass a beach nightclub. Big sign says, Village People tonight. It's like 6 I guess. In the empty parking lot, the Village People are getting out of a van in costume and schlepping their amps and other equipment into the saloon dressed as Indians, cops, etc. One of the great music moments of my life.
