I don't think that Slaughter himself would get more crap, because most normal fans nowadays know he's just playing a character.

The E, on the other hand, would be getting shit upon for having the character. Kinda like Hassan, who really is the only character that I can remember that the E announced they would get rid of because of fan outrage.

I’m not 100% sure Rusev would go over well today in its original incarnation and was what 3 years ago? Some version of one of the online mobs would not be ok with the giant putin banner

The B Team BBQ was Dusty's "Hard Times" and Punk's pipe bomb, compared to Lashley's sisters.

 

OK, I don't get this booking. They're building slowly to Sasha/Bayley.

So why don't they have Bayley survive the gauntlet until Sasha comes in last? Then Sasha takes advantage of a a weakened Bayley to win and add another layer to the storyline? Nope.

 

It wasn't exactly booked like the men's gauntlet a few months ago that made every single guy look like a million bucks and kick started this Rollins Renaissance.

Disappointing in that sense. Missed opportunity to showcase and build the ladies.

 

A few people here watch NXT, is Velveteen Dream the next big thing?

 

I don't know if Dream will come up with this character, but he's like 22, he looks like a million bucks, he loves the business and he's over like rover with a gimmick that if you described it without seeing him do it, you'd say "yuck." He's got it all.

 

I think he could get over as Velveteen Dream, but I don't think they'll give him a chance to do it.

 

Why is that?
