Unsure if this has been posted here or not...

Thanos was one of the 1/2 that went away. He went away, but the gauntlet stayed behind. Where is it? Who knows? I do think the person the gold people in GGII were creating might get his hands on it next.

Thanos and half of the known universe has been transported somewhere. They are not dead, though. The might be in the soul stone.

Marvel needed the Ant Man and the Guardian movies made to tell the story of Infinity War. The Guardians for the character of Gamora, and I think Ant Man needed made so that Pym particles can have some major roll in defeating the wearer of the gauntlet or releasing the people from the soul stone.

And Captain Marvel is a great choice for the next wave of movies to be based around because she is a solid female hero, and she opens up outer space settings or the next major story line (Kree/Skrull wars?)

Thanos was not among the half that vanished.

Adam Warlock will not be in Avengers 4.

I had seen that a while ago. The plan was to use him in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, not Avengers, at least for now.

  7. Wasn't he teased in GOTG anyway?

Yes, in one of the many post-credits scenes in GOTG Vol. 2.

    But Thanos was teased everywhere.

Warlock is part of the Guantlet story line IIRC.

He's part of multiple storylines regarding the stones, if I understand the history correctly, but that doesn't mean he has to be in this story.

FWIW, Dave Bautista did an interview in which he stated that he is in both Avengers 4 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 even though he was among those who turned to dust.

Exactly. I think we actually talked about this pages ago maybe, but Warlock is an integral part of Infinity Gauntlet as is Nebula in the comics. But, Warlock was teased just in GotG2 and if the MCU had plans for him to be an important part, he would have been introduced much sooner. OK yeah - Captain Marvel - same deal. But, she has a movie coming out prior and has been in the plans to be a focal point moving on past Avengers 4 I believe. Would it be awesome if Adam Warlock was more important right now? Hell yeah. But, we may get more of him down the road after Avengers 4. At least I hope so.

I guess I see it differently because Warlock was big at a time that I wasn't reading the books. I've seen Captain Marvel rise from the mess of a character to one of the big guns in the Marvel Universe. (Though I still think the writers often don't know what to do with her. She was pushed out of the main story during the whole storyline with Captain America turning bad and taking over and she was left out entirely during No Surrender.)

The rumor was that they actually wanted to introduce Captain Marvel at the end of Age of Ultron, but they hadn't cast the role yet. If that's true, there was at some point a vague idea of her being a part of Infinity War, too.
