I think Bret Hart, outside of his program with Austin, was completely overrated.

I don't know if I'd call him overrated. But I think he was a really good wrestler that's seen as "best EVER!!!" by some because 1) he's from Canada and 2) he contrasted strongly from the flashy workmanship of Ric Flair and HBK, or the showmanship / energy of a Hogan or Warrior. Like, if you think Bret Hart is the best ever, I bet you're also really into Dean Malenko, to just throw another name out there.

Bret was always a favorite of mine because he was such a great technician in the ring. He could work with anyone. Not many wrestlers could work with a big man like Bret did. Made Diesel look amazing a few times.

However, one thing that I really loved about Bret was that he was such a great storyteller in the ring.

Some of his matches against Austin, Perfect, Owen, Bam Bam were off the charts, IMO.

Let’s hear some more. There has been a lot of great ones so far.

Hart was very good in the ring, but after a while, he became very predictable.

You can say that about a lot of wrestlers, though. HBK, Hogan, Cena and many others were/are predictable in the ring.

But they were pretty unique outside of the ring. And, I think even they had some more variety when it came to end match vs. Hart.

I understand his microphone skills were bland at times. However, if you re-watch his promos in 1997, where he’s really allowed to open up, he could really cut good promos.

To me Rollins has the size/athleticism combo to be a plausible champion. He presents in ring as an exceptional athlete. But I did struggledwith that on Jericho. I remember years ago in Jericho's early run as champ, they showed a clip of him at a charity hockey event with Boomer Esiason, and Esiason just dwarfed him. It wasn't a good look for the champ.

    My unpopular opinions:
-- John Cena is an underrated in-ring performer.
-- If they would stop writing crap storylines and catchphrases for him and let him do his own thing, Roman Reigns would get over.
-- Steve Austin is vastly overrated. Amazing outside the ring, average at best in it.
-- Tyler Breeze could be the best thing in the WWE if they'd give him a shot.
-- The WWE needs a third belt on both major shows.
-- The greatest Horseman of all time was not Ric Flair. It was Arn Anderson.
-- The Money in the Bank concept is tired and needs to be retired.
-- The WWE is using Seth Rollins to bury top talent.
-- Triple H got a bad rap for burying talent.
-- Barry Windham is the most underappreciated wrestler of all time.
-- Kevin Von Erich was the best of the Von Erich clan (not David or Kerry), but because of the tragedies in his family, he never got the shot he deserved outside of WCCW.

Interesting point about Kevin Von Erich.

I always thought Kerry was a little overrated, but I haven’t seen enough of David to have an opinion either way.

But Kevin’s feud with Chris Adams was awesome. And I can’t imagine going through what he went through and continuing to work at such a high level.
