Love how the leader of the only party of patriotism didn't know the words to God Bless America. By Trumpist logic, that's the sort of thing that should get you kicked out of the country. He's from NYC, for crying out loud. He should have heard that song thousands of times since the Yankees weaponized it following 9/11.

It derailed pretty quick with the pig socks and Fidel Castro shirt.

At this point, the purpose of the protest is to protest. To file the grievance. The grievance is nothing short of protesting racism in America. They could kneel for infinite days.

He not only didn't know the words, he couldn't come up with more than "God bless America". The second line, "Land that I love", was beyond him. Jesus. It's not like we're talking about the third verse of the Battle Hymn of the Republic here.

Mike Freeman's 10-Point Stance: Meet the Man Who Could Make the XFL a Competitor

I read this earlier for the part about Oliver Luck coming on board as XFL Commissioner, which is well worth a read if only to wonder at the guys qualifications for the job. The last point he made was regarding Kaepernick, it was very solid, and I would have never thought of it. I can't get it to cut and paste, so click through and go to # 10. He compares the league's handling of Ray Lewis after he obstructed justice in a murder case to Kaep.

From the lack of research on whether the Eagles kneeled, having the military choir at the ready to recruiting staffers to pretend to be Eagles fans for the "patriotic celebration," I don't think Trump had any intention of hosting the team. As we've seen so many times, he wanted to make it all about himself. I'm sure he thinks he really stuck it to the NFL, but the joke's on him.'

I want to see guys obey the letter of Goodell's law re: the anthem, but troll Trump on the field prior to it. After all, Trump made this an issue. Obeying the letter of the rule (no kneeling or demonstration during the anthem itself) improves the players' case if there's any disciplinary action to challenge.

If 45 Dolphins kneel, what will the Dolphins or NFL do?

I would love to see a team do a chorus line of kneeling. Something wonderfully coordinated and showy that would put this shit to bed once and for all.

    Fake patriotism.

    That’s a step.

Still, makes it even easier to root against the Dolphins.

It’s not about the flag. And it’s not about the military. Understanding that is not that hard.
