Well, depends what they talk about. National anthem kneeling news is not football news. It's politics/sports intersectionality. ESPN will talk that all day. (Most of us will.)

The ESPN wants to double/triple/quadruple down on the NBA. Which, given what they paid for the stuff, I get it. Maybe ESPN overpaid to create the imperative to focus on it.

Not for nothing, ESPN would like to attract younger viewers. You do that with the NBA, which skews younger and is actually seeing an increase in viewership..

I got up once to watch Get Up.
I watched for 5 minutes and went back to bed.

In reference to Get Up, I've caught some of it this week with Rose and Beadle away with the NBA and Maria Taylor is running laps around Beadle. I've seen her a bit on SEC Network, but this gal is going places IMO

That is funny, I actually came to find this thread because ESPN was on my TV when I turned it on this morning. I have become fascinated with get up, not the show for its entertainment value but the show and whether it will survive.

Maria Taylor is an absolute star, she jumps off the screen unlike anybody who has appeared on that show. Her replacing Michelle Beadle is like Brady over Bledsoe.

We have had a prominent poster on this thread who is in the business and tells us that Greenberg and Beadle are worth the money they are being paid. My eyes tell me something different. Beadle and Greenberg look like yesterday's warmed-over oatmeal. Maria Taylor brings in unbelievable energy and she ran the show today. Marcus Spears, who I have never seen on TV before today, should be a regular.

Looks matter let's not kid ourselves that's why TV people are attractive for the most part and that is why ESPN paid so much money for that set. Michelle Beadle looks tired and Greenberg looks ridiculous with his dyed hair and grey beard.

Greenberg, Beadle and Rose looked DOA from day 1 on this show. Taylor, in addition to being a stunning human specimen, brings huge energy to the show.

Blow this thing up, and start over with Taylor.

Looks aside (yes, she's easy on the eyes), Maria didn't really jump off the screen in this opinion:

    Or for this one ...

I disagree with your assessment that Maria's totally >>>>>>> Beadle. Beadle is very good.

I'd shitcan beadle and greenberg for sure. Rose would be an afterthought.

Indeed, today's hot take is a little more recent.

They spent time this morning, several minutes, talking about Carmelo Anthony. Jesus fucking christ.

If I were in charge, I'd take a wrecking ball to just about everything except Taylor, Spears, and the set. The river looks fantastic in the background.
