Brazil tied. Germany loses. Spain ties. Argentina ties. Not a jackrabbit start for many of the favorites.

Pretty mixed crowd. But Mexico was clubhouse leader in jerseys.

OK keep telling yourself Iceland is an elite team and the Fox guys must be stupid Americans who don't know soccer because they called them a Cinderella.
Iceland's best player is a pretty good player in the EPL. Argentina has at least 5 guys better. Argentina is not strong on defense and Caballero sucks
compared to keepers on the elite teams. Switzerland tying Brazil was +360, so guess that should've been expected as well.

Sometimes upsets happen, especially in the first couple games. In 2010, Spain lost 1-0 to Switzerland. In 2006, Italy tied the US in the second game.

If Germany wins this WC people will look back on it similar to Switzerland beating Spain 1-0 in 2010.

Kind of lazy and don't feel like reading a lot, so can anyone give a short explanation of how the groups are drawn?
If they use FIFA rankings, Russia's group is a complete joke. Even without FIFA rankings Russia's group is pretty
    much a complete joke.

Stupid Americans who don't know soccer are those that argue against the worthiness of Iceland while wondering how the groups are drawn.

I think the host country is automatically in “Pot 1,” so they avoid the top seven teams (who are also in that pot).
