One More July was a good football read. There's also a good story, Jerry Kramer and Ray Nitschke were arguing some point and Curry said, "Guys, this is between you, me, and the man upstairs." And Nitschke said, "Don't bring that Lombardi into this!"

Just like the child actors at Sandy Hook? The ones who all attended MSD and turned into "crisis actors?"
Denial. It's more than a river.

First off, we aren't just talking asylum seekers. We are talking those entering illegally to begin with, regardless of whether they are seeking asylum or not.

This is the Reauthoriztion Act of 2008: Text of H.R. 7311 (110th): William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 (Passed Congress version) - GovTrack.us

It reauthorized the 2000 bill, which reauthorized the 1998 bill. YES, this has been going on since 1998. The intent of the bill was to combat human trafficking.

Here is a HuffPo article about it going on in 2013, during the Obama years. You don't find much information about this going on because hardly anyone was upset about it until last week.

Deportation Separated Thousands Of U.S.-Born Children From Parents In 2013

Speaking of asylum, this has to be met if you are seeking asylum from Mexico. It's very difficult. "My neighborhood is bad" isn't enough.

Can I Apply for U.S. Asylum If I'm From Mexico?

Here is just one story on the wages issue.

Middle-class Americans made more money last year than ever before

The usual protocol for someone caught entering illegally is they are taken into custody by the US Marshalls. The children are taken into custody by the HHS. If they plead guilty and wish to go home, they are reunited with their children shortly. If, however, they wish to claim asylum, they are detained for a longer period due to the investigation, and due to the Flores Consent decree of 1997, the children cannot be held for that long. The Flores Settlement: A Brief History and Next Steps

This creates the choice of either releasing the adults and children together into the country pending adjudication of the asylum claim, or holding the adults and releasing the children. It creates a mess, and a mess that has been going on since 1998 or so.

No, we haven't been doing this since 1998.

Good gosh, Miller is proud of ending catch-and-release for asylum seekers and you're out here saying "Nah, he didn't do that."
