The english-as-a-third-language Fox announcer is terrible.

I assume they are in a studio in LA somewhere because he had no idea about the hand ball.

Fuck me, I'm an idiot. I was at that game and could have sworn it was scoreless. 1-1. Goddammit, my brain is not a good one.

It was played in Nelspruit. I think.

Italy sucked that year, surprised they did score. They should have had the NJ kid on the team, Giuseppe Rossi. Well doubt he would've made a
difference and he should've played for the US anyway so f him.

Rossi was on the 30-man preliminary roster but missed the final cut; daring to play outside Italy must've been a bridge too far for Lippi. And no, he wouldn't have made a difference against the might of Magic Simon Elliott and Shane "Smeltzy" Smeltz.

I can't remember his name now, of course, but I watched that game sitting beside New Zealand's usual starting goalkeeper. He was either injured or suspended—CAN'T REMEMBER THAT, EITHER—but watching that game beside someone so invested in its unlikely outcome was super fun. I think.

He also call a throw-in a "handball". I'm all for diverse voices, but he did it on Saturday and no one corrected him.
