My best guess is that he's had pants made with a bulletproof lining, kevlar or something similar. You can get dress suits made that way, for sure. Otherwise you're just looking at essentially khakis with cargo pockets.

The question is why he's so paranoid. Bulletproof desk, huge security detail. I mean now that everyone knows what a douche he is and hates him for what he's doing to the environment someone might want to take a crack at him, but this started as soon as he hired on. I suppose he knew what he planned to do and was afraid of blowback as a result?

At my job on Wall Street, for some reason I had the key to the swag closet. Unlimited access to high end branded golf gear and equipment, random accessories like luggage and even fancy pens. I fucking looted that thing because I could.

I’m guessing he’s the same way.

Well, that's a nice spin to make it sound innocuous. But, in reality, the line was not just a reference to climate change, but instead part of pompous rant trying to belittle YF, and "dumb people" like him, by suggesting you do far more important work than he does:

And the guy stammered for about thirty seconds and then sat down. We need these gobshites to be dismissed just like that, and then, unburdened of their idiocy, the rest of us can get on with the globe-critical work of stopping tyrants in their tracks, punching Nazis, and making sure the world doesn't melt.

Zero tolerance is ridiculous. Laws were never meant to be zero tolerance for everything; Some laws are meant to be a message that you "should" not do it. Jay Walking? Smoking in a bathroom? Speeding? Lock 'em up!!!
