I agree with your comment. But for arguments sake, would there be an event or action that would make this type of move acceptable? If a business refused to serve OJ would it be good? What actions by an administration would make this acceptable? Hypothetically, if they started executing immigrants would this move be cool? Again, I don't like this at this point.

What if her presence creates a commotion among other customers, or causes a customer walkout?

What if she's dressed inappropriately? What if she's loud? Or drunk? Or abusive?

What if the objection is religious? That she bears false witness for a living. A Christian might take exception to that.

Her recourse is to sue.

Let her do so.

It really is awful. Mike Pesca’s podcast on, I think, Tuesday had a segment about how inappropriate the whole “Angel Mom” thing is.

 

Perhaps you don't have the same skin in the game ad the restaurant owner. For you, it is a theoretical exercise.

For the owner and her family, it may be much more immediate.
