President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Hey, if you turn your baseball cap around and put in a pinch of Copenhagen, you can do that from the other side!

 

What's the problem with being the bigger person here? The owner wasn't even there. She was called at home by an employee who apparently had the red ass about this. Right or wrong, business at this restaurant is likely to suffer because of this. Unless Sarah Sanders was doing tequila shots with her friends and shouting "Build the wall!" what was to be gained by making a thing about this?

 

What's to be gained is satisfaction.

 

What's gained is that she learns what it's like to be treated the same way that the people she supports are treating others.

Of course, the lesson will sail far over the heads of SHS and her supporters. As it's been said by others here already, they think their opponents going high when they go low is a sign of weakness.

 

One side is kidnapping and imprisoning children, and one isn't. Take your false equivalence and shove it. Trump is a racist. That's just a fact. The people in his administration are actively furthering racism. Another fact. Anything bad that happens to them, my reaction is, they'll find sympathy in the dictionary.

 

Yep, guess the high road is a pretty lonely highway these days. Or so I've heard.

 

That's sure been working. Fact, reason, logic: None of that works. You know what's going to work? Making these people uncomfortable everywhere they go. The Sandy Hook parents suing Alex Jones. Nazis getting punched. Sarah Sanders getting kicked out of restaurants. Donald Trump never again being able to walk the streets of New York without hearing someone tell him he has tiny hands.

 

I've said it before, but . . . America IS Donald Trump. Loud, boorish, aggressive, thin-skinned, vindictive, greedy, backstabbing, never giving anyone else credit for anything. Patting itself on the back constantly. America looked in the mirror and elected . . . America.

We were lucky it took this long. Just like we were lucky China slept through the greater part of the 20th century. We still basically rule the world, but it's pretty much done by brute force these days. We drop a bomb somewhere once every 12 minutes.

 

You should know that true satisfaction is never gained by being an asshole.
