So true. Trump is the symptom. McConnell is a tumor that is part of the disease that infests the Republican Party and government as a whole. When he dies, he deserves the same sort of scathing obituary that H.L. Mencken gave William Jennings Bryan and Hunter S. Thompson wrote for Richard Nixon. The country is the worse for his existence.

 

When you weed out the pundits and their followers, the vast majority of Americans exist somewhere in the political middle.

Since SCOTUS could rule on matters involving the Russia probe, no nominee should be confirmed until the investigation is over and we figure out what the hell is going on.

This doesn't necessarily mean he's voting to confirm. (I do expect he will do so.) The next cretin for Trump's SCOTUS is going to get the full hearing that Garland never got. Nothing will change that part of it.
