Families have been forcibly separated at the border, and a significant portion of the population dug in on doing so. Kindergarteners were gunned down in their classrooms, and a sizable chunk of the populace doubled down on unfettered gun access, with a portion of that believing it was staged. So forgive me for being skeptical about the deaths of women from illegal abortions changing the tide and perspective of a chunk of the electorate that appears to be dug in on always taking the most sociopathic path possible while often using a religious text as its rationalization.
