Well, he wan't president, but Romney was on record as only planning to govern on behalf of 53 percent of Americans.

And maybe the winner will actually receive the most votes one of these days.

    From the article:

Gee, ANOTHER country meddling in an election. Seriously, is there a major country that DOESN'T do it?

They do, by the declared rules, most Electoral Votes.

The declared rules never accounted for the possibility that one state (California) would have 68 times the population of another (Wyoming).

The mathematics of 538 and the floor of 3 electoral votes per state ensure that a single voter in Wyoming, the Dakotas and Alaska has a far greater voice in deciding the president than a single voter in California.

Mathematically, but what it really comes down to are the swing states. California’s EVs were in the blue bag from the get go, and even Hillary couldn’t fuck that up.

If you really want to feel like you have a vote that matters, you need to live in a swing state, not a deep red or deep blue state.

Or amend the Constitution. One of the two.

Make the lie big, keep it simple, keep repeating it, and people will believe it.

Polls Show Big Signs of Trouble for Trump

Trump blames Democrats for obstructing legislation, but Americans aren’t buying it. In the YouGov poll, a 41 percent plurality says Congress has accomplished less than usual (only 8 percent say Congress has accomplished more than usual), and these disappointed respondents blame congressional Republicans rather than Democrats, 45 percent to 19 percent.

In a Quinnipiac poll conducted from June 14 to 17, Trump’s job rating stands at 42 percent approval and 52 percent disapproval. But when voters are asked whether they’re “proud to have Donald Trump as president” or “embarrassed to have Donald Trump as president,” only 31 percent say they’re proud. That’s 11 points below his approval rating. By contrast, 49 percent of voters—nearly all of those who disapprove of the president—say he’s embarrassing.
