I don't know how long possession stats have been kept, but as someone who covered a lot of soccer before their advent, I'm glad they exist. Best way to explain dominance. Better than shot counts.

Was there a Russian defender who wasn't grabbing or pulling someone on Spain on that shot?

    They're dominating in shots also.

And now there's a video review to see if there was a penalty when the Russian guy tackled -- in an American football sense -- the Spaniard in the box. Of course, no penalty. Trump's boy in the Kremlin wins again.

Is it golden goal in these last two periods?

    It’s not golden goal.

I can’t wait to see what kind of shenanigans they pull if this goes to penalties. Rekicks after rekicks. Some ‘72 Olympics shit.

They've never said. I am pretty sure there was a time when golden goal was the rule. But if that were the case now, wouldn't the talking heads have said so?

BTE should explain how there was no foul there, like the refs made the right call in the 72 Olympics.

The question -- one to which we may never know the answer -- is which Spaniard has been threatened with death if he successfully converts?

    All of them?

    That would be too obvious.
    Interesting factor in PKs: rain.
