All-purpose, running Tim Tebow sucks/is a deity thread!

It's sad when a dummy like @Jake from State Farm pulls this act.

It's pathetic when you do it.

Or it's the ad absurdum endpoint of the argument that somehow Mr. Tebow deserves a platform from which to do good, despite any on-field shortcomings.

Tim Tebow might not be doing great, but he isn't playing poorly enough for the Mets to dump him. If some middling prospect loses his job to Tim Tebow, he wasn't much of a prospect. Tebow is most likely producing more value for the team than anyone else would in that spot.

Probably not. But if Bill Gates draws 5,500 to an enemy ballpark rather than the usual 1,800, you can expect that it will be noticed. That's why I merely shrug at Tebow's All-Star selection. It's pretty obvious that Eastern League crowds want to see him.

But I never said he deserved the platform.

My point was, that as long as he could earn the platform, it would be foolish for him to abandon it.

And, even if we want to argue that he's not a legitimate AA all-star, he's not embarrassing himself.

He's also not a typical 30-year-old prospect. He was away from the game for so long, and it's not surprising that it's taken him some time to get it going.

But, he is doing better in AA than he did in A ball, and has shown potential.

He's also probably a bigger fan favorite and draw at the gate in Binghamton than Bill Gates would be.

Did CM Punk deserve to make half a million dollars for his first UFC fight? No.

    Why did he? Because money.

So why do you choose to insult me because you disagree with me?
    Who the hell are you?

Tebow goes 3-for-4 tonight with 2 RBIs. He’s getting it done.
