Curry, Thompson and Green were all drafted by the Warriors. It's actually very much like the Yankees of old.

Who did the 50s Yankees sign like Cousins and Durant?

So you’re saying that Boogie is better than Javale?

A big part of the super team era is the money. When you are going to be, or have already been, paid more money than you will ever be able to spend - you may as well pick a good team to play on.
I'm wondering how Rajon Rondo and the Balls and McGee fit together.

Dude, this is stupid. Take your complaint to Oscar Robertson and Curt Flood.

The Warriors are as home grown as a great team can be these days.

Basketball also has a feature about how well players work with each other. OKC had Harden, Durant and Westbrook at one time. Didn't work out too well, IIRC.

    But...

Holy shit. That is a lineup on GS that is stocked with talent.

If healthy, Cousins is the best center in the NBA. If he isn't, he's .0001 behind the top person.

Curry might be the best point guard in the league.
Durant might be the best player in the league not named LeBron. (No, it's not Westbrook or Harden)
Thompson might be the best wing player.
Green is just a glue guy, but a very good one.
Andre off the bench with Livingston...

Their top 5 players are in their prime.

GS signed Boogie. LA signed McGee.

    Different era.

The entire 1979 Steelers were drafted by Pittsburgh. The entire team. Kicker, punter, QB, long snapper.

The point was, there have been teams stocked with overwhelming talent all through the history of American pro sports. This is nothing new.

Why does it bother you that the players now have power in the system?

Thing is, this makes a ton of sense for Boogie other than the low salary (which is not a small thing). He gets to hit the market again during an offseason where there should be more money flying around, and when he’s the starting center on a championship team, he’s Star Boogie, not Headcase/Cancer Boogie. Assuming he can keep from getting hurt again, it’s a fantastic move for him.

The Lakers are a super team. Look at the money they are spending. LeBron Rajon Lavale Stephenson Caldwell-Pope. That’s the 66 Yankees.

Because the Yankees of that era built their team on great scouting.
