What if you don't hate soccer and you appreciate the skill involved, but you find it boring?

 

Thought this was gonna be a Terry Pratchett appreciation thread...

 

This sounds like a Chocolate Kush kind of evening.

 

I have three World Cup matches. Ugh. I can't. I just can't. I'm with OOP on this one. I can appreciate the skill, but it is BORING as shit!

The night watch? Dude, on a Monday night? How about a weekend? I have to be up by 6:30.

That said ... I really enjoyed logging in here after my Friday night football work or during a late-night CFB binge - I still miss the late Pac 12 games (only thing I really miss about cable)

 

I stand behind my over generalized statement.

I'm off for the summer and the days are running together

 

Mondays in the summer? Unless you've got a kidball team still playing, you're writing recaps of 7-on-7 tournaments and pretending it might mean something in the fall.

 

The Ray Liotta Chantix commercial is more difficult to look at than any of the violent scenes in Goodfellas.

 

You should see him in that show with Jennifer Lopez now. His face is all cut up (in character), and he really looks like hell.

 

The "Ask Drunk" threads were the best.
Never got to more than 5 or 6 pages before they would be locked by morning. But you knew that going into it.

 

My cat woke me up an hour and a half ago. Can't fall back asleep. Now I'm hearing dueling alarms. My wife's has gone off for the fourth time. My neighbor's for the fifth time. My neighbor's sounds like a bomb is about to go off. Beep ... ... Beep .... ... Beep ... Beep ... Beep .... Beep-beep beep-beep beep-beep off.

 

Wife hit the snooze again as did my neighbor. I'm not sure who is going to give in first.

 

Think my neighbor won. No bomb timer yet but the mrs just had hers go off again and I expect at least another round before it's done.
