The people that think this is something special are just street walking whores, that can bought by a small zip lock baggie and a $20 bill.

Where has investigative TV journalism gone at Fox?
Why, Hannity & Co. used to be out front on the hard issues ...

That's a ridiculous rationalization, serving only to distract from Fucko's foolish maneuvers.

    You’re being silly.

Saying that farmers, or anyone else, should be against Trump’s tariffs, due to the short term pain, ignores the point that this is a negotiating strategy, designed to increase foreign sales for U.S. manufacturers and farmers.

It would Ben like arguing that a labor union strike is a terrible idea, because you don’t get paid during the strike.

    Duh.

The point is to use the leverage you have, to produce a better long term deal — in each case.

Trump’s supporters understand this. It’s unclear why the left doesn’t give them the credit for this, nor understand it themselves.

Gonna subsidize the farmers while they go broke in the short term?

Rinaldi said he’s thinking of selling about half his soybeans in the next four to six weeks, no matter how low the price, and then holding onto the rest for when prices rise.
Right now, about two-thirds of his crop is corn, the rest soybeans. He said if the flagging prices and tariffs continue for much longer, he could shift more heavily to corn.

He said he’s not very happy with the tariffs, but still considers himself a Trump supporter.

I think we should have left well enough alone,” he said. “I think the president is spreading his wings too far, and I think he’s covering too many bases and really not accomplishing much.”

Mertztown farmer Bill Boyd grows about 80 acres of soybeans. Boyd, president of the Lehigh County Farm Bureau, said he doesn’t think the effect of the tariffs will be permanent.

“I sort of feel betrayed by President Trump because he got elected through the strength of the farm states … but now he’s done everything it seems to hurt our profit, the farmers’ bottom lines by even just his rhetoric on tariffs,” he said.

Oh hell no. That’s socialism. Those farmers would rather be broke, foreclosed upon and selling meth in middle schools then take a dollar of socialist money? Those farmers are proud white Christians. Stand or fall on their own. No help. [/blue font]

Eh who cares about the farm struggling. Trump's gonna stop clumps of cells from being aborted.
