2018 World Cup running thread

After tomorrow, at least I don’t have the job of feeling like I need to listen to all of the daily podcasts. I think that Totally Football has been the best. The SI one with Grant Wall has been pretty good too and The Ringer one has been pretty inconsistent. Football Weekly is just ok, but I do like Barry Glendenning reading rap/pop lyrics in his brogue.

 

I admit I’m rooting for Croatia. France has done it. Would be an incredible achievement for that little country.

 

I always enjoy the coin flip in soccer. The teams have already chosen their ends and nobody cares who gets the ball first.

 

They can switch ends.

I know. We used to do it when I played in college just to screw with our crosstown rival.
