To take with a grain of salt but there is some speculation that Sinclar Broadcasting - the owners of ROH - might have played a role in ROH getting to run MSG. Sinclair has many affiliations with local FOX syndicated programs and they *might* have threatened to not air Smackdown next year on their affiliates if WWE didn't let ROH run Madison Square Garden in April.

Again, to take with a grain of salt but this was reported on PWTorch....

Eh, that seems like some wishcasting on the part of ROH or wrestling fans. Sinclair has never really invested much money or airspace on ROH. Like right now in my market, they put it on Saturdays at 1 a.m. after Saturday Night Live. It makes more sense to me that MSG said, "Hey WWE, what are you going to do, like not use our place if you want to do a big NYC show?" And even if WWE decided not to use MSG anymore, it's hard to believe MSG couldn't fill the dates easily. (UFC, Bellator come to mind, since MMA is now legal there.)

    Observer for July 15:

    - As of right now, the plan is for Lesnar to not drop the belt. It could change, but McMahon is going in hard on the idea that Lesnar is "abandoning" the business, as a way to get Reigns over with the crowd.

    - Jim Ross suffered a cracked rib and other injuries while announcing a New Japan match. There was a move into the barricades, and it lead to the guys hitting Ross. He was understandably pissed, because he specifically asked New Japan officials to not have spots near the announce tables, because they usually do it.

    - Enzo Amore was essentially cleared of the sexual assault charge against him. Further investigation by police revealed that the victim had a history of drug abuse and lying, and there was no evidence that there was non-consensual sex. He had major heat at the time of his firing, so it's unclear if he'll ever be back with WWE anyway.

    - Charlotte Flair is 3 weeks away from returning. Jordan will be back once creative has an idea for him. Ambrose should be back near the end of summer. Fandango suffered a torn labrum and is out 6 months. Wyatt and Alicia Fox are back wrestling on house shows.

    - Goldberg said he's interested in coming back, if it was to face Taker or Reigns.

Extreme Rules is timing.....strangely. 4 matches of 10 gone in 1 hour, and one of em might not get in the ring with a backstage attack angle...hmmm

They're leaving plenty of time for that one-hour classic between Lashley and Reigns.

Will Orton and Nakamura form a new tag team, and borrow from Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard by calling themselves the Ballbusters?

I was just about to say that. 20 years ago. Same month. Both in Pittsburgh.

Albeit, Foley didn't have a crash pad under the table.
