One of my late parents' friends and neighbors was a sucker for that shit. Her whole garage was full of crackpot golf gadgets. She probably could have paid for lessons with Butch Harmon for what she spent.

I really do love the one for The Hammer, the non-conforming AF driver being sold by some alleged long drive champion with a John Gruden haircut who yells at the ball like it is getting its ass kicked in a bar fight.

I also remember, back when the Golf Channel was about 18 hours of bullshit, the ad for The Perfect Club. "It's the perfect loft. The perfect size to hit from any lie, the..." I went to my bag, pulled out my 5-wood, put the club head next to the TV and said, "same exact thing."

I used to sell a golf gadget thru direct marketing, and once we got the audience targeted, it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

I presumed his list was camera time.

  7. Odds on Woods are 25-1. I can see why, but his odds are better than a lot of other guys.

How many bookies’ lives are funded by gamblers who bet with their heart rather than their heads?

I learned very early that I was one of those guys and quit cold turkey before I got in a hole.

I would not be surprised if Woods made the cut and finished up the track, say T-21 or lower. Anything better would surprise me and a win would flabbergast me.

This is a boring telecast. I'll try again tomorrow; maybe it won't look like they're playing in San Diego or Palm Springs.

  11. Brandon Stone still hot following Sunday's win at the Scottish Open.
Nice open by Kisner. I like the guy, he's got game, but not sure he can bag a major.

Loving this. Such a different animal than in the US. The fairways are faster than the greens.

I love watching something different a couple of times a year. A unique test
