"I don't think Tronc can not afford the losses in New York"
Trump called. He wants his double negative back.

PS: I got my start in the NYDN's business section under the late Steve Yahn. Great guy, great editor.

Mayor DeBlasio should be thrilled with this news.

Trump won’t be able not to gloat about people losing their jobs at the Daily News, unlike his silence about the job losses his tarriffs are causing. Sad.

Text of the e-mail sent to New York Daily News staffers today, saying about half would be cut.

Sports I'm told went from 34 to nine - NINE. Was as high as 70 just a few years ago.
    Also, no travel.

Outside of the normal mumble jumble, can someone explain to me how in the blue hell a major metropolitan daily like this, serving millions, can go from 34 in sports to FREAKING NINE? Also no photogs? How the hell do you shoot sports? Apparently all the writers are supposed to shoot with their phones while doing everything else? In the immortal words of Buford T. Justice, “what in the hell is the world coming to?”
