    Sure, because the 202o campaign hasn't kicked in.

    Are you really trying to say that his opponents wouldn't try to make an issue of this?

    African-Americans are the base of the democratic party, and they've shown a greater desire to vote for African-American candidates. This makes Booker and Harris especially formidable in a Democratic primary.

    But, African-Americans also remain very slow to embrace homosexuals, especially within their own community, as being in the mainstream.

    This makes Booker extremely vulnerable to this particular slur.

    It's actually a favorite way for the media to work something like this into the news.

    They don't cover the issue. They cover the controversy that has arisen as a result of the charge.
