The fella who refers to guys chanting "Jews will not replace us!"as very fine people gets the benefit of the doubt...

Please. I'd like to think where you stand is inarguable among the sane.*

Here's the thing, which some of you are unable to see:

    A. I like Neutral Corner (admire him even).
    2. He used a term that is racist, which I pointed out. That I pointed it out doesn't require anyone to defend the usage.
iii: I don't think he meant it in a racist way, and acknowledged that.

We're cool. I'm not pissed with you about it. My "concern troll" crack was a little over the top because I was feeling pissy, but that was as bad as it got.

    It's all good, mate.

After some more reading on the subject I now have a better understanding and you are correct. And now I know!

I don’t think the post apocalyptic 2nd term of trump will have Spielberg making movies. Cleaning showers at the work camps is more likely

So now the spin from D.C. is that Trump's Iran tweet is the start of his next round of diplomacy. He's going to tweet and saber rattle and squeeze Iran the way he did the Norks, then swoop in and make a new treaty agreement where he takes advantage of the situation.

I think this idea falls down on a couple of levels. First, saying so out loud forewarns the Iranians. This is not Persia's first trip around the block. Second, I don't recall the agreement we made with NK being a notable success. Trump is still in denial and thinks that they'll come around and give up their nukes, but history says he's pissing into the wind.

What it does do is let Bolton and Pompeo vent their hardline spleens on Iran. This should be a fine distraction from Trump/Russia, unless someone miscalculates and starts a shooting war. I remember the Iran/Iraq War, and the casualty levels were at WWI levels. The U.S. is not going to tolerate that sort of engagement. I don't see a winning strategy here... although that has yet to stop Trump from acting on any whim that pops into his head.
