Considering he played that character in the Kayfabe Era and during the Cold War, he must have dealt with a lot of shit from crazy fans.

Also, little known fact, prior to playing the Russian, he was one of the Mongols (Bepo, I think), which were a big WWWF tag team in the early 70s. Also, supposedly, he may have played the third Executioner along with Killer Kowalski and Big John Studd.

In some interviews he gave, he said he began playing a taped Soviet anthem in Bill Watts' territory. Watts told him if he ever forgot the tape, he would be fined the first time and fired the second. So one time, he forgot the tape, and, fearing Watts, told the ringside announcer that he would sing it instead. Watts liked it, and told him to keep doing it.

    RIP

As for Christopher, he had that one good run in WWE and was a Memphis mainstay. However, his last WWE appearance a few years ago garnered about as silent a reaction as I can ever remember, because he wasn't in a city that he was well known.

Kinda sad that he killed himself in jail. One never knows what demons someone has.

You talking about when Cole brought him in for that horrendous feud with Jerry, or the one-off Too Cool tag match on one of the old-school episodes?

The one-off Too Cool match was at NXT's first PPV against The Ascension if I'm not mistaken.

They had a Rikishi and Too Cool reunion at one of the Old School Raws where they beat 3MB I think.

When Cole brought him in. The crowd didn't even go mild.

New Jack went off on social media about Jerry Lawler and his kid.

In a deleted FB post he said (paraphrasing) that Jerry should go die now.

Madison Rayne signed for the Mae Young Classic.

And looking up Rayne on the Wiki, she's married to Josh Matthews apparently.
