Lack of sound money is the culprit for that -- of any sort of sound money would set the price of money in a marketplace, which would avoid the asset bubbles that have destroyed the housing market, and stop robbing working stiffs by inflating away their wages in order to enable the asset bubbles, which then get passed off as a "good economy." It also precipitates the decline of America. Saving creates investment, which is what grows economies in a sustainable way. Those commissars, or monetary mandarins, so incentive leverage and debt that they have destroyed the savings rate in our country.

Totally agree. IMHO that's why 2016 went the way it did; the vast majority of our voters were told that we had come out of the great recession in good shape and that we were back on track and they didn't see it. Now, taking the greater of two [perceived] evils is a losing proposition (see wreckage now).

I'm not sure what I'm most looking forward to this week, the Cheeto Jesus' coming rants about, well, absolutely everything...or @YankeeFan's updates on the health of HRC, some random Democratic candidate for a down-ticket campaign, or some overly detailed criticism of a non-conservative media outlet!

I wanted to see what Congress has been doing this year, since I seem to hear most about executive orders.
    Public Laws

Good to know there is now a Marvin Gaye Post office on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.

Why would they need to go over strategy for a meeting about adoptions?

Wait, colluding about adoptions isn't illegal according to Rudy G.

So, the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 have called for the reinstatement of James Gunn after the right-wing mob went after him.

I find this puts Disney in an interesting predicament. I also think if this doesn't do the trick, the entire cast should walk. That will.

The fact that YF’s pal and old boss continues to fuck up in public and accidentally show Trump’s shitty hand is somewhat delightful to me.

No conservative can explain, without resorting to whataboutism, why they have repeatedly lied about this meeting if in fact they did nothing wrong and aren’t worried about what happened during this “adoptions, but not really” meeting.

I doubt Disney is going to back down. Is the entire cast even going to return for Guardians 3? I thought I had read that the core group will change for the next sequel, in part because they won't all be alive by the end of Avengers 4. As of now, I believe Rocket is the only one among the living.

This would be fair to both parties, and might actually depoliticize the nominees a little. You don't think so?

Trump with Giuseppe Conte just now (this may not be an exact quote, but a close paraphase): "Italy makes some great products. I have some of them."
